Lovely pub which had a very calming vibe. We came twice over the weekend and had excellent service each time. The food was delicious and staff seemed very busy, they did have to be reminded about drinks or items that came with the roast. We did have an issue that was resolved quickly and professionally. However the fire was very smoky and we left smelling of smoke! On the second visit we were behind the fire and still smelt of smoke when walking through. Not sure if wet wood/one off but it did happen both times at the weekend.
